I have all sorts of spares for the Vire 6 (BVR) including an entire engine (offered rebuilt)

Above details: the concourse unit just completed16sept 2004

Due to popular demand, I have decided to combine all my best bits and work long and hard, to produce a finished exchange unit.

This engine has needle roller bearing con rod, new top chrome ring on piston, all internal parts and bearings stripped and inspected, re-assemble with new gaskets,  polished &  re-laquered if appropriate. gearbox completely overhauled witgh new seals, tighter water pump seal and drain hole freed to ensure no water ingress (otherwise common fault), gear selector arm completely dismantled and polished/greased/reasembled to prevent stiffness(common fault), and re-shimmed with new gaskets and oil. ignition/flywheel/front covers all polished and tested ok, cord pull casting polished to mirror finish, all brass pipes etc polished and laquered, water pump greaser upgraded to polished brass unit. The auxilliary bits are available should you need them(carb, exhaust), I can fit the engine for you, on an exchange basis.

call for a price for this one-off BVR, i promise you it's a lot less than replacement with a different engine or outboard given the different shafting, cabinetry, cooling, electrical work rung-up!

will split if you just want engine or gearbox.

I also have a couple of dynastarts which are spares/repairs, but one could be reconditioned/tested/sent out for far less than the £600 bosch replacement price!

regulators, carbs, morse-brackets, and a good gearbox

I would be willing to recondition anyones old unit for a reasonable fee. it takes about a day plus parts and delivery.(£200-400?)

if you have a smaller job - say replacing points - I may be able to help/advise

havent any perfect pistons, rings, con rod bushes and cylinders -are unavailable - but I think I know how much damage is important - considering the age and low value of most of the host boats - the important thing is curing the problems - not rebuilding as new without expense spared.
